1. Coaching Philosophy Assignment             
 DUE: WEDNESDAY 4.2.13

Please write a 2-page (minimum) paper outlining your personal coaching philosophy. Your paper should address the following area:

·      What you feel the purpose of athletics is (at your level)
·      Your values as they relate to athletics
·      Your goals/objective for the team (as a whole) & players (individually)
·      Your policies on academics, , conduct, discipline, playing time, attendance
·      Your expectations from parents
·      Optional: Any other areas you wish to address (the more thorough, the better the paper)
o   Examples: Injuries, travel, practice schedules, fundraising, captains, etc.

2. Philosophy Presentations 
DUE: WEDNESDAY 4.2.13 or FRIDAY 4.4.13

You will be responsible for giving a 5-minute (max) synopsis of your coaching philosophy. This will be a presentation style assignment in front of the class.
*You can use PowerPoint if you would like (please bring it on a jump drive).

I am looking for you to SELL ME on why I should hire you as a coach. What sets you apart from the other 15 candidates? You only have 5 minutes so you need to organize your thoughts, be concise and have a plan going in. Be confident and energetic!
